Jervis Bay

If only everyday was beach day. For Stefanโ€™s birthday, I took him on a weekend away to Jervis Bay which 2 hours drive south from Sydney. Growing up in Melbourne, I only saw beaches as; windy, pebbly and freezing-cold water. A casual swim in the ocean is very low on the list of things-to-do on the weekend. However NSW has definitely changed my mind.

Jervis Bay is a beautiful part of the world, filled with crystal clear water, scenic coastal walks and incredible beaches, it is the quintessential Australian landscape. We spent the day exploring the Booderee National Park , home of the world famous Murrays Beach. We felt like we had landed on a remote tropical island filled with palm trees and water so blue and clear I could see my shadow through the waves.

We stayed overnight at the beautiful Worrowing accommodation, a short 10min drive from the local city centre. Built among the natural landscape, each self contained room, opens out to stunning scenery and offers a tranquil nature escape.
